After a pretty long web search, I was finally able to find the GPC candidate in Toronto Centre – I hope this was not meant to be a secret. – Here is the site: http://www.electellen.ca

Ellen, I don’t think you know exactly how hard it was to find the Green candidate running for Toronto Centre. I am glad to have found you. I am a political free agent, with sustainability on my mind – both fiscal and environmental. Further, I am active in our community, and would be willing to assist your campaign if you are serious about beating Bob Rae.

I need to know how working with the GPC will help me serve my community. I live in Cabbagetown on some maps, Moss Park on others – there are some serious social issues that need to be addressed prior to making sure our latte cup is properly recycled, and that our new BMW is running synthetic oil. The environment is extremely important, but this does not only include our habitat, the environment must include the people selling drugs and those turning tricks in the ally behind my house. How will the Green Party address crime on Toronto Centre streets? How will the Green Party address the needs of local businesses – my butcher, baker, bicycle shop, etc.? I am interested in hearing from you.

I was pleased to hear that the NDP and Conservatives decided to play nicely and that Elizabeth May will be participating in the nationally televised debates, Canadians need to know exactly where the GPC stands. There are still rumblings in my mind that associate the GPC with cannabis legalization as a plank. Canadians need some clarity.

Best of luck in this election. These must truly be exciting days for your Party.

Caullyn Godfrey.
